Meet the Batch Team: Brittany Dufaud, Gift Concierge
Share
Meet Brittany Dufaud, our Gift Concierge, who has never frowned in her life and inevitably brings a sparkling smile to the face of every person she meets.
Brittany, tell us a little about your position at Batch.
I create and fulfill custom gift requests for a variety of occasions. Communicating through email, phone, text or in person (socially distanced), I work one-on-one with people to curate the perfect gift.
Where are you from, and how long have you been in Nashville?
I'm originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, and I have been in Nashville for 3 years.
What's your favorite part about your job as Gift Concierge?
Even though we are packing boxes all day and answering similar requests, every day is different. My job gives me a chance to get creative and personal with each customer.

In your opinion, what are the best items that we carry at Batch?
What items would you put in a batch for a loved one?
I spoil the ones I love when it comes to gift giving, so the more, the merrier! I usually start with a Buckle & Hide Tri-star coaster set, Goo Goo Clusters, any candle I'm obsessing over at the time, Willa's Tennessee Whiskey Shortbread, and I'll throw in a beauty product - something from Nash & Jones or Thistle Farms for my girls, and an Olivina Men product for my guys.

What things do you enjoy outside of work?
Back in the day I used to be a competitive dancer (started at age 2), so whenever I get the chance I try to take a class here and there. Other than that, I love hiking and I have taken on weight lifting over the past few years.
Favorite spot in Nashville and why?
Before Covid, I loved going to the movies and doing spontaneous things. Luckily Covid hasn't taken away hiking at Radnor Lake and being outside from me. (Fun fact, I didn't have a car for most of the time while living in Nashville. I walked everywhere that I could.)
Favorite musical artist, and why?
Ben Folds all day. Let's talk about his piano talent!
Have you picked up any new hobbies, skills, or habits since Covid shut-downs began?
I love make up, skin care and hair. Since we have more time on our hands at home, my boyfriend lets me pamper him if I annoy him enough.
If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
Spend the entire day with puppies, dogs, and more dogs. I have an obsession with animals, no matter the kind, but dogs are my favorite. I believe I am an animal whisperer. RIP to my perfect pup, Mya, who went to doggie heaven a year ago.
Aside from necessities, what could you not go a day without?
Laughing. I'm not sure how to live a life that doesn't involve humor. Oh and of course coffee!
What about Batch excites you the most?
I love that Batch supports other small businesses. Batch is run by wonderful people who genuinely care about their employees. Also, who doesn't love getting a batch box in the mail?
Any interesting facts or final thoughts?
Stop signs used to be yellow!
