Nashville (Pride) What
Celebration of Pride
We are the middle of Pride Month and Nashville always shows up in a big way (like the Supreme Court did on Monday!). This year's celebration is different—just like everything in 2020. There are still plenty of ways to celebrate with #PrideAtHome and support the LGBTQIA+ community.
We have partnered with the Nashville Scene, the LGBT Chamber of Commerce, and Good Neighbor Festivals, the annual Nashville Pride Festival event organizer, to create three special-edition Pride Gift Batches to help you enjoy #PrideAtHome this year. Ten percent of every Pride Box purchase will go directly to supporting the Nashville Pride organization.
Event What
Sound of Pride
Music City and the Live Music Capital of the World are combining forces to present “Pride in Local Music.” It's a one-night-only livestream event that will be held on Friday, June 26th at 6:00 PM. The evening will raise funds for LGBTQ+ artists in both Austin through the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians and Nashville through the Music Health Alliance.
Maker What
Slice of Pride
Featured in the Nashville Scene Pride Boxes, D’Andrews Bakery & Cafe is located downtown a block away from the main Nashville Public Library (speaking of the library, have you seen their video featuring tiny rapping (and DJ-ing) mice). In celebration of Pride Month, they have a Pride Rainbow Cake available for in-store pickup or delivery.
Food & Drink What
Another Reason to Drink
Each Thursday at 5:30 PM during the Pride Month, a local LGBTQI+ bartender will show you how to make a simple yet stunning cocktail to enjoy at home. Last week, Crystal Bumpus from The Lipstick Lounge whipped up a Lemon on a Pear.
Bonus What
Build a miniature pride parade float! Finished floats can be shared to Nashville Pride's social platforms the week of June 22nd with prizes given to the most creative and inspirational.
