Meet the Team: Bri Nightingale, Client Success Manager
Share
When we started Batch as a subscription box company in the fall of 2013, little did we know (and, by little, close to zero knowledge) that 10 years later most of our orders would be corporate gifts. As a result of this huge growth for our small business, we have hired a lot of folks to focus on corporate gifts and, more importantly, corporate clients. We are so happy to introduce Bri Nightingale, our client success manager, to our customers and small business family. She will be assisting our corporate clients to ensure the gifts that are shipped out match the orders they placed.
In our Meet the Team Series, Bri answers a few questions so that you can get to know who she is, why she is excited about working at Batch, and what small business made gifts she is already loving.
Bri, tell us a little about your position at Batch.
As the Client Success Manager, I will be the customer’s main contact from the moment they obtain their invoice through the point of receiving their tracking information. I will mostly be working with our corporate gift clients, ensuring that we clearly communicate all of the details and keep them coming back for more.
Where are you originally from, and where are you living now?
I am originally from the northwest Chicago suburbs (go Cubbies!), and I’ve been in the greater Nashville area since April of 2008.
How long have you known about Batch? How did you first hear about it?
I’m one of the lucky ones! I first learned about Batch in 2015 when I began working at The Picnic Tap in the Nashville Farmers’ Market. I frequented Batch’s retail store and I was eager to take every one of my out-of-town visitors to Batch. Sam, Rob and I also bonded over hoppy beer, naturally.
How long have you been working with Batch?
A week!
How do you like it so far?
On more than one occasion, I have told my friends and family that I am still waiting for Ashton Kutcher to jump out and tell me that I’m being “Punk’d”. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know everyone on this small and mighty team, and I can’t believe I get paid to hang out with my new best friends.
What are you most looking forward to about working at Batch?
I am really looking forward to changing the lives of those who receive gifts we create; I am also thrilled to be working in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment with like-minded, hard-working people.
We sent you a “Welcome Batch” of some of our favorite Batch products. Of the items that you’ve tried so far, which are your favorites?
I received so many incredible gifts in my Welcome Batch! Some of my favorites so far are the Chedz (I LOVE anything cheese flavored) and the delicious Loveless Cafe Sweet Potato Butter! Zach graciously pointed me in the right direction when he suggested spreading it on a toasted cinnamon bagel (yum!). I have not yet used the Loveless Biscuit mix or the Soberdough Brew Bread Mix, but I am confident that they will be favorites, too. My final, and number one favorite item in my Batch is the Mutthead dog collar for my sweet pittie boy. Porter lost his best friend and big sister, Ginger, on the day of my interview with Batch, so it is extra special to me that my new coworkers are making him (and me) feel seen.
What might you put in a Batch to a loved one?
I created my first Batch for a dear friend of mine here in Nashville. I included many special items that I hand-picked for her, such as Lil’ Goos, Bongo Java Whole Bean Coffee and Soberdough Brew Bread Mix. I also included some special items for her house (since it always smells so good) such as lavender Thistle Farms lotion and a Gold & Ivy vanilla scented candle.
What are your favorite things to do outside of work?
I love to travel and visit new breweries with my wife, Abby. We spent the last two years breaking our camper in and taking in lots of nature with our dogs, which was very special. I am also training for a handful of triathlons and the 2022 Chicago Marathon. I plan to do my first Half Ironman within the next couple of years, too.
If you could travel today to any city in the country, where would you go and why?
I’m eager to visit Denver again and learn more about their extensive brewery scene.
Because we are headquartered in Music City USA, we have to ask: who is your favorite musical artist and why?
The short answer here is Brandi Carlile, but the even more honest answer is her talented, sassy, British wife, Catherine, because of the aforementioned qualities and all she does for those in need through The Looking Out Foundation. Abby and I spent this past weekend watching two Brandi shows, in between strikes of lightning, at Nashville’s outdoor Ascend Amphitheater, and it was worth every second.
If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would you do?
I would pack up our little camper and visit as many beautiful waterfalls as I could, out west, with Abby and Porter. We would, of course, stop at a brewery for lunch.
Aside from physical necessities, what could you not go a day without?
A plan :)
Your gifts will be a huge success because of Bri's project management skills.
