Nashville What
Honk for the Grads
With traditional graduation ceremonies cancelled, two Nashville high schools have adapted to these extraordinary conditions. You can “attend” the McGavock High School drive through processional ceremony on their Facebook this Saturday starting at 9am. Next Wednesday night, Hume Fogg High School's Class of 2020 is having a drive up graduation procession with the assistance of MNPD traffic police. If you’re looking for a grad gift, we have a collection filled with locally-made goodies.

Bluegrass and Blue Angels
Tonight is the final episode of Whiskey Sour Happy Hour, hosted by Ed Helms. Tune in to The Bluegrass Situation's YouTube page at 7pm CT to see performances and messages from Rosanne Cash, Stephen Colbert, The Indigo Girls, Buffy Sainte-Marie and more. This show was created to help raise funds for COVID-19 relief.
Wednesday’s virtual installment of The Porch Writers’ Collective Mirror House, is named for John Prine’s opening song “Illegal Smile,” celebrates Prine’s work and the example he set. Porch co-founder Susannah Felts and writer and musician John Shakespear will read, and there will be musical performances from songsmith Ziona Riley and members of the group Styrofoam Winos. The event starts at 7pm. and you’ll be able to join in via Zoom.
The Blue Angels are flying over Nashville on Thursday at noon to salute and thank all healthcare workers, first responders and other essential personnel.

Shed Life
The Nashville Farmers Market is reopening the sheds on Friday with limited retailers, social distancing protocols and safety guidelines. The sheds and Gardens of Babylon will be open daily from 8 am - 4 pm. We are planning on opening in the sheds with a limited number of items for sale including Tennessee Artisan Honey.

Pick 'Em if they Got 'Em
If you can't get to the Nashville Farmers Market for fresh strawberries, Ms. Cheap listed some midstate farms that have ripe ones ready to be picked. Pick-your-own farms are modifying operations this season by providing pre-picked fruit and limiting the number of people in the field at a time.
