Nashville What
Start
During our seven years of business, we've become experts at curation—finding the best local stuff and sending it your way. Now, we have tried to curate information, resources, and messaging about anti-racism, unequal justice, awareness and activism. Our list is a work in progress that we hope can help us figure out how to sustain momentum to bring about real change.
Event What
Get Unstuck
Chakita Patterson is the founder of United Street Tours and she leads tours exploring the people, history, food, and art of black culture in Nashville. If you are feeling unsure or need more information on how to become anti-racist, participate in a 7-day Antiracism Challenge (the next challenge starts Monday, August 3rd). For 7-days you will receive challenges via email that will help you live antiracist everyday. These emails include short, simple action steps meant to grow you.
Maker What
Clay Daddy
The Nashville Farmers Market is now fully reopen (with safety guidelines in place). One of the longtime makers in the sheds (where we are currently popped up) is Clay Daddy Pottery. Through rain or shine and all seasons, Tim is manning his booth packed with pottery in the South Shed. We recently partnered with him to enable his customers to safely ship their pottery purchase through our store shipping service. Go see his beautiful and useful pottery for yourself and tell him that, "Batch sent you."
Food & Drink What
Chicken and Waffle (Cones)
Being from Nashville and wanting to provide jobs to people in the neighborhoods where he grew up, Marcus Buggs created Coneheads. It is a fried chicken (or cauliflower) and waffle cone restaurant at 1315 Dickerson Pike in East Nashville. They have a patio perfect for social distance dining or they offer takeout and delivery.
